Richard is has some pretty interesting habits. My favourite being the random objects he moves around during the day while the wife and I are making dollars. I call his behaviour “work.”
Richard’s work usually consists of grabbing a tea towel and his blanket and leaving them in the middle of the living room floor or somewhere in the bedroom. To him, that’s an honest day’s work where he feels like he’s earned his keep.
Other work he enjoys on a semi regular basis: flipping over two pillows on the couch and dragging a small head rest pillow we got as a gift with purchase into the bedroom. If he’s feeling like a tough test, he’ll even pull one of our blankets from the arm of the couch into the middle of the floor.
I guess it’s his “thing.” Afterall, we all have to pay bills and so does Richard (yeah, I charge him rent). Plus, he enjoys it so he might as well make some money doing something he loves.
This Wednesday, Richard put in some serious overtime. The wife called it a “Richard Disaster Zone.” I like to call it interior decorating, cat style. Here’s the list of the tasks he performed:
- Moved the tea towel from the stove to in front of the TV
- Pawed nail polish from the counter to the ground
- Moved a pair of socks from the bedroom to the rug in the living room
- Flipped both pillows on the couch
- Moved one of my hoodies from a folded pile to in front of the bed
- Moved the head rest pillow from the couch to in front of the bed (he set a new record for pillow dragging distance with this pull)
- Moved another pair of socks from one side of the bed to the other
Richie worked hard and managed to make his best arrangement yet.
Nice job buddy. You have a true talent!
